"As an artist, I
strive to be honest in my creations. I get inspired by other artists
which propels me in different directions. Whether, anyone likes or
dislikes my creations is not the point, it's what I get from the journey
of expression for which serves my soul and fills my heart with purpose."
C. Evans
The
purpose of this website is to give a portal to the visions that seem to
take hold of my attention enough to drive me to try and create them. I
try to manipulate the media into what I have envisioned but usually what
happens is the media runs the show and presents itself in its own way.
That always seems to bring a freshness to my creation. Not to say that I
have no control, but the media sort of evolves into it's own personality
which usually ends up being something better than I expected.
I
have never had any official art studies outside of high school. I am
basically self taught. I
have always had an interest in art in some form or fashion, but it
wasn't until I saw the movie "Pollock" with Ed Harris, that I was off
and running. Of course, I found I was trying to emulate Jackson Pollock
but soon found that I had other moods and visions I needed to create.
Now I am experimenting with many medias, textures and ideas. Creating is
very relaxing as well as exhilarating for me.
As of October 27, 2006, my art was being displayed in
Barbellas
Studio & Gallery, in downtown Pensacola,
Florida until the end of May, 2007. I also had a few pieces of art show at
Artel
Gallery
also in downtown Pensacola. I had two pieces accepted in the
2006 Cinco Banderas Exhibition from October 27 - December 1,
2006 also at
Artel
Gallery. Check out my first
showing.
I have given
myself a goal of being represented in as many galleries along the Gulf
Coast as possible. If anyone is interested in showing my work please
contact me. Or, if you are interested in any of my works as far as pricing, leasing or want to
commission me to create you an art piece, please feel free to inquire
via E-mail.
Thanks for visiting my site. If you could be so kind as to share the
experience you had here with others that may be interested in the same.
Please turn them on to me. Also, if you could let me know what
you thought of my works and site through my guest book. I certainly appreciate every
visitor I get.
Take care and hope you
visit again.
P.s. Make a difference in the world by being kind to the people around
you. Put
a smile on someone's face. It doesn't take much effort. :O)
Thank you.
